"Yugen no Kanata" at ARTECHOUSE NYC

As the AI artist "Liber," we exhibited the installation Yugen no Kanata at ARTECHOUSE in New York.

ARTECHOUSE is renowned as an immersive art space that blends cutting-edge technology with artistic expression. This exhibition harnessed the creative potential of AI to craft an installation that invites viewers into a deeply immersive world.

The work was projected across four sides of a massive screen measuring 11 meters wide by 6 meters high. It was an immersive adaptation and reconstruction of a series of pieces that previously gained significant attention on social media.

Based on the concept of "Japanese deities," the installation reimagines the gods as manifestations of human, worldly emotions.

By combining original AI-driven visual expressions with CG, 3D modeling, and other advanced techniques, we created a space that offers a rich and immersive sensory experience.

Work Overview – Yugen no Kanata

This piece depicts an imaginary world inhabited by deities that embody human desires and worldly emotions such as jealousy, anger, and greed. These gods are complex and multifaceted—just like the emotions they represent. Some take on human-like forms, while others do not.

While reflecting worldly desires like rage and envy, the deities also represent the bonnō—the earthly attachments that bind and trouble the human spirit. Through their portrayal, the work poses fundamental questions about the nature of humanity and the essence of life.

This immersive video installation features 3D models created by Liber and is projected across four surfaces: three walls and the floor. It envelops the audience in a fully immersive visual experience.

While generative AI serves as the core of the visual creation, the work also incorporates dynamic CG elements to achieve a powerful and expressive aesthetic.
